THE NEW ATME: The ATME Board of Directors has been working to rebirth the Association to better meet the needs of today’s travel marketers. After serious consideration we have decided that a small volunteer-based association can’t produce and sustain a full annual conference that is both meaningful and cost-effective at this time. It is increasingly difficult to simply find a date that doesn’t compete with other industry events.
We have therefore decided to present frequent smaller events such as our successful Think Tank series covering hot topics such as Media Strategies and Digital Marketing held in different regions of the country, as well as a new Travel Marketing Workshop Series providing hands-on educational tools for hot issues such as Crisis Management and Mobile Marketing. We are also introducing a grassroots type of travel marketing event—informal breakfast, lunch or after-work get-together-- in many different cities that will provide frequent networking opportunities and valuable insights and discussions on important industry changes happening in real time.
We will also enhance our email Travel Marketing Newsletter, MarketFlash, and continue to post interesting marketing news on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
